How do I disinfect a water jar before filling in a season of spring water recharge? I know you can not use ...

Be you can not use soap in the jar, because it could leave residues in drinking water fill. I guess I use a little chlorine bleach and cold water to clean your decanter water ... Does anyone know the amount? and exactly how to do this safely? I also told some time ago in a way to update the pitcher of water with baking sodium (this is a side issue - but not the main !)... jars are water jugs that have never been used for anything besides water. We have a station local, where we can fill jugs of spring water for 25cents. I have about 15 jars and want to use the station - but not before my hips are sanitized. help?

In the army, teach us to cleanse our canteens with 1 part bleach to 5 parts warm water. Rinse several times with more hot water / and let air dry with lid. Hope this helps.
