Violet Blacklight
Is it okay to use a black light to light indoor herb garden?

I'm building my herb garden indoors due to the freezing outside, but I do not know if it's good to use the black light to the ultra violet and ultraviolet light can burn. I know I will get better results with a lamp Full spectrum, but do not know and you're looking for an order online because you can not find one in stores around.

No, not going to grow with a light black. Plants use red and blue light and green to reflect why they appear green to us. A black light contains little red and blue light. Bad idea that will stunt growth. Try a daylight lamp. Care is bleach paint and carpet. Like sunlight. Check surrounding nurseries and Sam's Club, if you have one. I got one at Sam's for my plants I think twenty dollars. Also check eBay. I am raising butterflies and plants indoors during the winter, so if you want to share ideas please let me know. You can IM me tokyo5335@yahoo.com Please follow this link. This is the lamp that I bought. It seems a good light and good luck with the herbs.
