Are there good tent sites for camping along the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park?

I am planning a section hike Shenandoah National Park, in the September / October. I studied the maps and guides SNP. Any information or suggestions can be offered on camping near the track - especially in Southern and Central Districts - would be appreciated. Since the park can be crowded in the fall I would avoid the hostels / shelters, especially weekends. In the guide books in the way of registration to mention camping / tenting sites, but the book of Gide in the PNS rarely mentioned any. I am familiar with the requirements of the camping trip and restrictions (the park has a brochure really big), but I imagine those who have risen the way they have the best tips where to find pretty, uncrowded camping along the AT. Thanks for the info.

Along the length of the path accommodation, there are several lodges and camps for hikers. The shelters, often called barns, usually open three-walled structures with a wooden floor. Some shelters are much more complex in structure, however, most of the opposite function of the way is the approach in its construction. The shelters are spaced less than a day's walk away, more often near a water fountain and a toilet. They generally have spaces for tent sites in the surroundings. It is advisable to always carry a tent for the night, when on the road, because the shelters can fill its capacity. These shelters are usually well maintained by local volunteers and maintained in good condition, although Despite these mice and other rodents often make their homes inside or nearby. Almost all shelters have one or more before hanging racks of food (usually made of a nylon cord with a little upside down tuna can suspended halfway down its length) for hikers to hang their food bags. In the jargon of these hikers are sometimes called "mouse trapezes," and while that often prevent mice from reaching the hanging food, are in no way foolproof. Another option is to hang a food from a tree branch or between two trees, using the standard method of carrying bags, which are recommended in the country of bear.
