Torch Light

In 1976, he competed in rowing, along with 20 other women in Canada in the Summer Olympics in Montreal. The Olympic motto is Citius, Altius, Fortius, which means faster, higher, stronger. It's our job to excel in our sport. We focus on nothing more than our competition. All I remember about Torch Relay in Montreal was the last runner who was anonymous and the girl child who represented the equality of the sexes. Yes, the years 1960 and 1970 were the years of revolution, civil rights and feminism. The Torch Relay was so appropriate, especially because the athletes of the year showed that women could ROW!
When I heard he was going to be a torchbearer for the Olympic Winter Games of 2010, I had the opportunity to focus on the meaning of the torch and the Olympic flame. In my particular group of torchbearers in the first day, I heard what that means something different and special to each of the persons concerned by the flame. For me, the Olympic Torch Relay means striving for excellence, peacefully. "
The Olympic Games is do better in sports. However, the Olympic Flame reminds us that what you choose to do, pursue excellence. By doing your best brings all the best qualities and virtues in which, like competing in the sport in the Olympics is for athletes.
I watched the young man came to use his torch to light my torch. Did not reduce their fire in the light of my flashlight. In fact, for a moment there was a super flame between us! At the time that had passed the flame to the next row, and flame of my torch was extinguished, the flame had rekindled the fire in my old heart. I heard that the flame touched the hearts of each torch bearer!
Imagine this: The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay is creating a circle of light around our vast country of Canada. Not just the torch to torch, but heart to heart. The spirit of the Olympic flame will shine in the hearts of all who witness it, perhaps remembering to pursue excellence in everything we do. The Olympic Flame invites us to be champions every day. When we do our best to shine like the Olympic Flame.
This little light of mine, I to let it shine ...
