Why is my Coleman stove like this?

Here is a picture of my 2-burner Coleman http://img213.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1003402xo8.jpg We have used it like 3 times. As you can see, the right side is getting all black and discolored. I feel like the metal is twisted or something. I tried to clean it, but in vain. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just normal? Then too, I realized I can not see a flame that was lit. I imagine it may have something to do with it, but do not know.

Looks like normal discoloration from the heat of the flame.
