What kind of backpack stove is a good stove?
I need to know what type of backpack stove is good, light, and fairly inexpensive. Are these good 2 the stoves? Brunton Talon Compact butane stove and snow Peak Giga Stove - Stainless Manual GS-100-Thanks
For years I used a Coleman Peak One, small, lightweight, and you can buy cans of fuel in almost anywhere. The problem with the stove is what almost any type of fuel used and how much should I bring to every day. I have a Sierra Stove, by ZZ production, most of the time now, 7 ounces and burns branches. There is a small two-speed fan forces air into a combustion chamber creating a miniature blast furnace, boils water as fast as a propane stove with a handful of twigs. You do not have to carry fuel and you do not have to worry about running out of fuel. The steel version weighs 15 ounces, is $ 70 or $ 80. The titanium version, 7 ounces, $ 130 or less. The downside is their pots will receive black and soot, since cooking in a fire. You need to put in bags before you put in your backpack.
