Is it right to start a sourdough starter in a stainless steel bowl?
All have stainless steel bowls, and now have a burst of sourdough started in one. Is this correct? My plan is to store it in a pot when in the fridge and not in a metal container.
Yes, bowl Stainless is fine. Is there a reason you did not use a glass jar as a canning jar? That way you could see the rise and fall, to know when feeding, see the Hooch to let you know that the little beasts have used all their nutrients and it needs to feed more often. You can see if there is a color change inadequate as proof that contains some bad bacteria, so stainless is fine, but the glass is better.
