Altre Jean: Closing of Dante's Divine Comedy: "l'amor che muove il sol e l'stelle". The love moves the sun and stars. And, you know, that ultimately boil down to that. What is this? It is that apprehension of the union, connection, not only with one, but with the plurality of being - which then primes all the additional growth.

Barbara: This is the vision that has motivated me: the vision of being part of the body of mankind, and that the body struggling to become one and move towards the universal meaning of life. Barbara Hubbard was no connection with God.

Hazel: Yes, I have always felt that in you.

Barbara: And I do not think it Hazel Henderson has just made the personal connection.

Hazel: Oh, no.

Barbara: And you, John, would not work in the world like you, and at the New School for Social Research.

Jean: And with all the black children and prisoners.

Hazel: It's really the attempt to link the organic body human species.

Barbara: Maybe we have become one of the key elements feminine consciousness: putting the first effort.

Hazel: Yes!

Barbara: Each of us could have done a life deep contemplation. We could have become yogis. You probably are one, Jean, but not spend all their time in a lotus position. You are in the world.

Jean: Yogi means union.

Barbara: Yes, but in traditional forms, yogis spent much time alone in the world. You have an extremely active life. And so is Hazel, and I and thou, being a real worker in the spiritual realm, this effect is manifested on the outside.

Jean: This is the new way Eros!

Barbara: I have a vision of you and seeing all the members of the human species, and to be attracted by the potential of each. And the more can be reached with its power to emancipate them, most of the human species will be able to connect. You have a powerful motivation to reach a lot of people. How do you see that the desire to reach as many as possible?

Jean: Well, I did not start path. From about 1960 until about five years ago had been working with thousands of individuals on a one to one. And then I started to realize that these things can happen - it works! And now I got rid of much of the autonomy rampant little local pride and a certain arrogance that comes from having had too much success too soon, and a college professor at age nineteen. That's a lot garbage! If you can get rid of that, the channels to be much clearer. When you get rid of unnecessary ego protections - allowing enough, of course, to maintain the body and mind and soul, and make you get up in the morning - then flow to others becomes very natural. It's not a question of having to go out and reach more people, it's just that one is prepared, and the natural ecology of things requires. But I'm glad he was not cut loose in the world for fifteen years!

Barbara: But you're cut loose in the world now.

Jean: Yes, but in a condition I hope and pray that is not the ego conditioning. And it must be cleaned and revitalized every morning! Not because of ego, but by the accumulation of rubbish - people are planning things to you: Angers, fears, hostilities. You know everything about it.

Hazel: Yes, right.

Barbara: How can I clean in the morning?

Jean: Well, there are many ways to do so. I lie there, and my mind becomes a great vacuum, and a large area. It is the breath in this field and realize that I am no-thing ... and when that began not matter. [laughs], but needs constant observation. Any time I'm a little suspicious that I'm doing something for reasons that could be ambitious or personal - I quit.

Hazel: Is not it interesting, Jean, extending to the next level of observer / thing observed. This is very important for Me, I think I'm constantly watching myself. If I find that I am doing things hysterically, or ego needs, or any other motivations old I'm trying to throw, I want to monitor it and get rid of it. We have recreated the old dichotomy at the next level.
