How can I turn red / black audio cables one end to a male plug for my subwoofer on the other?

I have a subwoofer that only connects with the red (positive) and black (negative) audio cables. My receiver can only connect a subwoofer with a male plug. How to rewire cables that work? The need for an end to be red / black and the other end with the male? Please help!

Chris is almost right ..... If the sub has 2 inputs still have to ensure that connenct the port from the receiver to the sub. If the receiver only has 1 sub output, you need to connect to the Subcommittee that in the cat is labeled LFE. (Low Frequency Effects) If you connect the wrong one can damage the sub. If your sub has 1 input, then making LFE. Do not use adapters and to separate or force 2 signals to 1 or vice versa. If the sub has 2 inputs, but the receiver only has 1 sub output, connect only the LFE channel. The other line is not necessary and only used if the receiver has 2 sub outputs (most do but just let it connect)
