How do I wire a cable outlet? The house is pre-wired, but only dropped the cable behind the faceplate?

My house is pre-wired for cable television, everywhere. However, it does not really connect the outlets - just drop cable line on the wall behind Face plates for the cable plugs. But do not plug the cable into the socket on the face plate. I had the cable company come out and "The Wire" points I thought sales would need. Since then I decided I need one more of these "pre-wired" cable connection points, so in reality can hang a flat screen on a wall. I have an electrician wire stripper and bought left no tools RG6 connectors. Can I do it myself? Can electrocute myself? Should I pay the cable company to come back? It is very expensive. Note, I will not know any techie words ... Thanks so much!

This is not difficult. You simply need to take the plate off, go and take a wire cutter (could even use a scissors if you are careful) Cut the cable housing (sorry, I do not know the words - usually black) and expose the copper wire about 1 / 4 inches. That should fit in the hole in the face plate, if not buy an ending to put on it - which are sold in hardware stores. Then put the face on the back plate and the cable should work. (Oh, do you to put a cable to the face plate and television, but you get). The idea is that the copper wire cable from the wall and the copper wire cable from the touch of television. I doubt shocked. I was not. Good luck. I'm an idiot - with electric sevant trends, but have not used book and it worked fine.
