Need help with laser pointer / torch burning?

I've seen the same videos / DIYs about 100 times, but the guy speaks way too fast and I'm pretty new to the whole laser thing. If someone could please give me a more detailed description on how to build a laser (preferably a lantern burning one) for under $ 30 that much appreciated. Salud! Thanks

These are very dangerous. A brief flash in the eye or causes someone else's eye permanent vision loss. Worse still, a reflection of a surface it can cause permanent vision loss. Even through a window and outside passing a pedestrian. When these are used in industry, which are used in special rooms with limited access, and everyone must wear special goggles. Thus that unless you are looking for many years in jail, or not being able to read the rest of your life, I would find another toy.
