The M1 Waistpack is one of the most popular range of Maxpedition of waistpacks.

The M1 is 15 cm long by 11cms wide and approximately 8-10 cm deep. There is one main compartment that is secured by two seriously large YKK zippers manipulated using paracord pulls. Within the compartment there is a main space with two little side pockets against each wall.
Fairly straightforward.

The second compartment is a little more interesting. It has an elastic retention system which can be adjusted with some heavy
elastic cord which is fixed in place by cordlock. I guess the idea is to create a system of bellows that allow the compartment
to expand to accommodate a larger article.

The outer compartment also is secured by a lid that has both velcro and a high degree of spring lock to keep it from coming loose. There are two little holes hiding have not mentioned. One in outside the flap is a zippered compartment, good for your coins or perhaps
even a condom. The other is inside the blower compartment, and I found nothing to fall in there, but give me time.

Finally, the M1 has a super strong belt that will take anything up to a 3-inch belt. Alternatively can be used to ensure Maxpedition M1 to another package using its patented system that uses belts Molle. It is not something that I've studied but I'm sure some people find that the right hand.

So what does one use of the M1, and why buy in the first place? Basically lets you carry your essentials with you, if you prefer not to be burdened with a greater package worldwide. It will take a multi-tool, identity papers, flashlight, spare batteries, phone mobile
Space Pen, and some other parts and no problem at all.

Problems with the M1? So far, none. The thing is built like a tank, to Maxpedition's usual standards. The only objection I have is that
I could have finished with one of the little side pockets in main compartment. The reason to be is when you're pushing things while on the road, which tend to catch on the edge of the bag.

I think only the pocket would have been nice for the main compartment, as there are plenty of other small hiding holes distributed in the whole thing. I would also say that I think the
Velcro on the side lower bellows flap is a bit unnecessary, but I guess it will be very useful if you neglect the complement of a closed padlock, which is entirely possible when you moving.

Overall however, the M1 is a winner, and $ 20 or less, which really is not to blame. I recommend it to anyone looking for a carry system that does not scream "fan of Michael Jackson."

The M1, like all Maxpedition products, is available in basic black, olive green color khaki.
