S-Video to Component - Grayscale output?

Hello, I recently bought a 7 pin S-Video to component cable to connect my laptop (HP DV1152EA) to my TV (Philips 32 "LCD). It works well and the quality is very good. The only problem I have is that the output is in greyscale. In other words, only I can see the colors gray and I can not see other colors on my TV. Any ideas? Mike
