Single-Multi LED replacement PC mod - amp needed?

I'm thinking not so much a case as a case mod build. I am considering the use of LEDs instead multiple of the only power LED, five or more of them. Obviously, this requires more energy that normally flows through the power of the PC LED so I need / can extend that power? Can I use a transistor amplifier? I've never tried this before, so I'm a little uncertain. How I get the extra energy?

LEDs do not require more power, simply connect in series as the end of a ----- is at the beginning of another and make sure connecting the right pole of LEDs (in case you do not know the LED light emitting diodes is illuminated with the power to step in the right direction and has a power consumption very very low)
