I was a big fan of Sea Hunt, the television program that aired from 1958 to 1961 and was Lloyd Bridges. This was called "dive". Reached peak interest in diving lessons for people who saw the show. There were no indicators used --- BCDS or single tank, mask, regulator, fins and the clock diving. His diving watch was his "life line" in a dive. On the left side of the tank, which protrude from a lever is called a "valve j", long obsolete. Once they ran out of air (best to keep an eye on the clock!) That you back and open the valve. There were 300 psi in the tank, which would be sufficient to reach the surface. Imagine the surprise and panic of a diver if the switch had been cast! I do not want to think about it.

Flipper was a program that ran on NBC from 1964 to 1967. I remember seeing the program for the first time in color and was surprised by underwater photography. Well the family morals, and a happy ending, made for great entertainment and my love of dolphins to this day. Who does not like a child wants to live in the Florida Keys water outside his door and pet a dolphin!

Scuba is fast becoming a popular sport, with the amount of water on land and marine life interest, shipwrecks and beautiful coral to see.

With today equipment, training of a professional diving instructor and dive following the standards, scuba is aa safe and enjoyable sport, and opens a new world of fun!
