How bright is the brightest light that can produce artificially?

How long can you stay? What would be the rational behind the production of light so bright?

A carbon arc search light (like the one used when opening a business) is 470 million candle power. That means you can read a newspaper in the darkness of a mile away, with that light. It is the brightest, I think. If anyone has a candle on power after winning 470million. Such experimental not know. But trade is the carbon arc good question whether the light:)
