laser pointer?

Should I get the 15mw 35 MW or 55mW laser pointer as my first strong? lasers have handled before and do not want you cannot melt Add in the plastic lid. I also wanted to know just look at the point you said hurt your eyes or just when you point at someone's eyes. What is DIF. between green and red laser? It is their difference but other colors? an orange laser is like $ 200 dollars more. What if the surface is not reflective?

Google "ANSI laser hazard class" for an explanation of the different hazard classes in terms of power levels. A CW laser 55 MW, for example, is a class III laser, which means it is powerful enough to do damage in the retina, by the time it takes to flashing. (Not a technical term for this, "dislike something I remember, the point is that if they shine in the eye or the eye of others, can do much damage.) I know this may piss you off, and I'm not trying to be offensive, but although it is possible that lasers have handled before, it sounds like you know much about them. A laser of 55 mW is not a toy, and if you buy something like that is a good idea to read about security issues. A green laser is what is commonly called a frequency doubled Nd: YAG. What it means is the laser wavelength near-infrared primary, and run through a nonlinear crystal to double the frequency (halving the wavelength) to give something in green. The canonical green Nd: YAG wavelength of 532 nm, but there are some variations in which, as the new lasers do not use solid state Nd: YAG oscillators primary, but some other variant where Nd atoms are integrated into a different crystal YAG. A laser Orange is a dual frequency laser whose main oscillator is running at just over wavelength (ie far-infrared) a Nd: YAG. red laser, in general, are laser diodes which are not dual-frequency. The main result of the laser is in the red. Therefore, in general, red pointers are more cheapest green or other colors, there is less optical within them.
