Insulated Lunch

Insulated Lunch
Does it make sense to put food bag in the refrigerator?

I've noticed that my colleagues in my office put their lunch bags, insulated in the refrigerator. Since the purpose of a bag of food seems to be to protect the contents from the external environment, it would make more sense to remove the contents of the bag and put it directly in the refrigerator?

Coz I do, no place for a cold in the lunch bag. My food does not stay cold. I use the bag bring lunch. I have to keep it cold. This only makes sense to me. I'm losing part of my meal to someone who will take if it is in the bag. Been there, done that.
