Can I use the 12-inch Coglhans' picks for camping on the beach?
My family is camping on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We have been reported that when making reservations we need 12 inches in their game, especially for camping in the sand. Any and all ideas will be well appreciated.
I have seen a picture of them but if they look like nails, so do not hold very well in soft soil like sand. If you have 2 flat faces an inch wide each and about 90 degrees to each other, then they should work well. The tent stakes are plastic with many shops also work well. Wooden stakes from cuttings grade similar to what you may have seen in a construction site before a building is constructed can also work and if you cut to the desired length and then scored at the top to keep the tie in the store. If you are allowed to deepen into the sand, you can also tie a small piece of rope that ties around the stake of the store will then tie the other end around a game that is buried about 6 "below the surface and laying horizontal. will be almost impossible for the wind blow into the tent enough to pull the loose play.
