What is the ultimate survival knife for hiking?
says that are trapped in a storm and injured and have to spend the night in the mountains. What would be the best survival knife for these excursions.
HAHA! The ultimate survival knife is the Swiss Army knife! Someone who said that this has never been, obviously, in the wild, depending on a knife. Okay, a Swiss army knife has a lot of gadgets, but as we KNIVES speaking, this is what I recommend: Gerber 22-01629 LMF II Black Infantry Knife-4.8 inch blade Here is the link: The http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-22-01629-Black-Infantry- Knife/dp/B000E3QUB6/ref = pd_bbs_1? ie = UTF8 & s = hi & qid = 1238989540 & sr = 8-1 knife has enough weight so that you can cut firewood little small, if you had to. Part serrated, 3-3/4 inch blade can be used to cut the fuselage skin, cut the seat belt, or egress through the Plexiglas of a chopper. This infantry knife also does a job polishing cutting firewood and building shelter and can even be tied to a pole to create a spear. At the end of the blade is a flat surface strong enough to nail a nail. This survival tool tough and versatile, has a high carbon stainless blade with shielded black surface color. This is the knife I carry. Again, all other appliances knife in an "army" are useful but should be essential elements separately, anyway. A person can not depend on having an all-in-one ... the "army" knife just doesn't weigh enough.
