Headlamp Light

Headlamp technology has come a long way since first introduced, with LED lights sources now replacing the candles and light bulbs decades above. LED lights are used in a number of different industries, but there are three specific industries that have made greater use of them (and as such, have helped to evolve in the light versions and long-term durable in use today.) The main industries are coal mining, search and rescue, and industrial manufacturing, and each makes use of the lamps of a slightly different way.

Coal Mining

Having a source reliable light is essential for coal mining, as miners spend much of their time underground where no natural light can reach. Early mining headlamps use of oil lamps that served as helmet-mounted candles, but this presents a dangerous situation when the natural gas pockets were encountered or large amounts of coal dust was present. Because of safety in mines is a major concern, an alternative had to be in order for coal miners do their jobs without the risk of fire or explosion.

Lamp-battery power is used for years, but the batteries made helmets mining, even heavier than they already were. Search and rescue

Unlike coal miners, most search and rescue spend most of their time working outdoors. This does not mean your work is not dangerous, the lives of adults and children often come into play and rescuers must be able Responding to a variety of terrain and weather related situations quickly and effectively. This efficiency can be greatly reduced by having to carry a flashlight or battery lantern. Being able to put a LED headlamp makes this important work much easier. LED lights are lightweight usually sealed so as to be resistant water, so search and rescue not only have their hands free, but they can do their job effectively, regardless of the weather outside.

Industrial Manufacturing

Manufacturing is definitely not easy work, and in most cases, whatever the job of an industrial worker is making it necessary to keep both hands free to do so. This is fine for line workers who are doing their work in areas well lit, but can be a major inconvenience for warehouse workers and those performing maintenance, as they often must step into the corners and darkest areas of the facility. LED lights let lots of light where they need while keeping their hands free, and LED lights are usually durable enough that it may take some few blows and impacts, without having to worry about breaking a bulb.
