Hardcases have an elegant texture and design, to provide an impressive appearance hardcover book. One option for achieving this sleek and impressive is the use of your GBC Velobind binding machine along with Velobind Hardcases. Velobind Hardcases are available in five standard thicknesses of 1 / 4 "to 1-3/8". If you look one Velobind Hardcase, you will notice the following characteristics:
1. The inside cover is marked with a letter (A, B, C, D or E). This letter designates the size (thickness) of the document to accommodate special case. The customer benefit is that you always know what thickness case they have, even if not in the package original.
2. Two final leaves (fly leaves are used in each case (which are packed separately in the box containing the Hardcases). These leaves are sticky end, and linked with the document that is inserted into the carton. These sheets are attached inside the front and back hardcover.
Keep a final leaf that folding tear off sheet to you. Note that there is a portion of the sheet is exposed, directly opposite the lid. This "lip" is the area to be punched in the binding process.
3. The backbone of the case is done with "softfoam" backbone of the adhesive. Lift the paper slightly in the spine (do not remove at this time) to see the sticker. The adhesive foam helps keep the paper in the box in the binding process.
Once you have the document you need to link in the hand has to choose the box size is appropriate for that document. Take your bound document, and the center of the document in the back of the box, pressing the strip into the adhesive part of the spine. If the book is not focused, carefully picked, and realign to focus. Fold the front cover on top of the document, making sure the front cover hard case and are back in the lineup. If not, repeat the process until centered. You can move the document as often as necessary until the leaves have been removed from flying - then you permanently connected.
If right-handed, use your left hand to place it firmly at the top of the document in which the band is (you'll want to avoid that to move within the case). Then take your right hand and reach inside the front cover until you can grab the sheet foldback the final document. Gently pull out of it, hardcover dropping the final coated paper adhesive. Repeat this process back cover. One of the tear off sheet is completely out of the book, press completely down the entire front and rear make sure all the adhesive adheres to the cause.
