Fuel Lantern

A Coleman lantern fuel that works in the field of gas-powered stove regularly?

I have a duel fuel stove that works in the field of stove fuel or regular gasoline. I just bought a used lantern fuel than the duel, but is supposed to run on the fuel of camp stove. I wanted to see if I could run on regular gasoline, so do not have to buy fuel camp stove? In the alternative, the flashlight can be converted to run on both types of fuel?

Coleman Fuel or Wal-Mart equivalent of white gas is inexpensive and comes in convenient gallon metal containers size. Unleaded gasoline burns too hot for a normal stove and no way to turn except to change the internal workings.
