Fuel Camping

Is it my fuel or Camping Stove do?
My in-laws of camping stove becomes the bottom of all my pots and pans and difficult to remove BLACK soot. Is it my fuel or stove? I'm planning to borrow my parents again small Coleman stove, but if my "Ozark Trail" propane suppose you are doing will not make a difference! Anyone know? Thank you!
Propane tends to make soot when burned too slowly. If there is an adjustment to the venturi (air flow) which in turn limit the incoming air to fuel more efficiently. Also, if you want to make it more easy to wash the soot from their pots, you can cover the bottom of the pots with water and soap before cooking.
