the survival of stone used in Survivorman or man vs. wild?

Hi about a month and a half ago I was watching Survivorman or A good test around and either had or flint support this way, you put a piece of cord in a final of an open bottle and the other closed end that pushed him hard to make the pressure generated heat and ignited the tinder and started a huge fire. My question is what kind of stone, it was because i cannot find it anywhere and Ive been wants to know what it is and call, Thanks for your time
