Feet Cover

All this talk about Going Green, a large part of saving the environment is not creating more waste that has just finished blocking our land fills. Follow me on this for a minute ... There are 10 million spa owners in the U.S., and each one uses a typical rigid foam spa cover on your hot tub. For the sake of this demonstration of each foam pad is only two inches thick, and each spa is eight feet by eight feet. That would mean that every spa cover has about 10.666 feet cubic foam spa cover. For the rest of this example we will use cubic covering 10.5 meters.
If each deck in each spa becomes saturated within two years and needs to be replaced that would mean we would be adding 52.5 million cubic feet of waste to landfills in just spa covers every year.
If it takes half past two foam covers the value of forming a cubic meter, which translates to 4 million cubic meters of waste in our land fills every two years only in the spa cover.
If There are 11 million cubic meters of stone in the Great Pyramid of Giza, we are adding enough foam to build a duplicate of it to our landfills used spa covers only six years of a conservative. There are four and a half million cubic yards of concrete in the dam Hoover. We could build a road from two lanes of discarded foam filled spa covers from Seattle, Washington to Miami, Florida, every two years.
If you have not noticed most foam filled spa covers are not over two inches thick. If all the foam covering of age were four inches thick of all these calculations would double.
But we're just being conservative and they prefer to continue with two inches thick. If the covers ripped in half and put the final pieces to end that round the earth in Ecuador used spa covers every two years.
Heck, with parking, in a few years could pave the entire planet with only foam saturated foam spa covers from the U.S. only.
So what is the solution? Good site for better housing the spa. Options are available on the Internet that your local spa, probably does not. You do not have to stop using the spa to save us. You just need to get Spa cover that does not use foam insulation. There would be two big advantages of doing so. First, the spa cover that did not use rigid foam to insulate would last longer. Since that always fails to cover the foam thermal typically either break or get so saturated that you can not lift, spa cover that did not use Foam tends to last longer.
Secondly, if the new type of spa cover is not used rigid foam is also much friendlier to the environment environment when it comes time to discard it. Less trash, less waste, less landfill, which is not what it is going green.
