Woks can be used for steaming, frying or stir frying their food. Frying is better to use an oil that can take high heat without burning. Most Chinese recipes will tell you what kind of oil you need to best results.
Bamboo steamers are also a staple in Chinese cuisine. Bamboo steamers are great for steaming food including vegetables and dumplings. To use the steam, you must fill the wok with enough water for the entire cooking process and allow the water to boil. Once the water is steaming, add the bamboo steamer, with the food already arranged on the tray with the wok.
Obviously, the steam has to sit on the water while kitchen. If you added the excess water, then you have to delete some of them before starting to use the steam. Also, you can cover with steam tray cabbage leaves or lettuce to avoid Chinese food sticking to the tray.
The type of recipe you are doing can help you decide whether to use cabbage leaves or lettuce. If the taste of cabbage and lettuce is not something you like, you can also use aluminum foil with small holes placed through the material.
