Does the boat fuel Coleman Exponent Xpedition stove work, or does it only work with the PowerMax?

I'm Looking into a stove Xpadition Coleman exponent but I found that POWERMAX fuel that was designed for use and is not in vain. on the market. Does the work exponant bottle of stove fuel without having to buy fuel adapter?



I can only find two instances online where anyone mentions that the Powermax fuel canisters are being discontinued? One is a review of the Xpedition stove in Siera Trading Post and the other is a single sentence on BackpackingLight.com 's message boards. I sent Coleman email to see if they will clarify this. Otherwise, the adapter is necessary to use screws on the bottles. It's $ 19.99 at Campmor.
