Coleman Fuel
That still uses a fuel Coleman catalytic heater for camping?

Does anyone still use a Coleman catalytic heater to be Coleman liquid fuel burning (no propane) in the campsite? Do you use in a store? How much ventilation do you provide in the store? I a little worried about carbon monoxide, if you use the store. Coleman liquid fuel, heater, not a stove. It has a dome of catalyst which turns red and gives warmth. I used it in a garage with a carbon monoxide detector and detector registered zero. I know it consumes oxygen.

Do not use this in a tent unless you have all holes open to the tent. Heating appliances are not very efficient in very cold weather in a tent. I've heard from several people who have died using the type of heaters in tents without adequate ventilation. What I have done in the past bought a generator I connected gas and quartz radiant heaters when I was out camping in the mountains in the snow and subzero temperatures. These days ii use a battery to remove a bulldozer and use quartz heaters. It works very well for 2-3 days then I just hook up some cables to my truck the starter battery and recharge Large battery for about 30 minutes every 2 or 3 days.
