D cells can be used to replace the AAA battery?
About the main battery, the AAA cell has a voltage of 1.5V and cells D also has the same voltage of 1.5V Can I use D cell to replace AAA cells? Regardless of their size, what is the difference between the AAA and D cells? Any damage to the device D cells in AAA? Thanks
Under most conditions you can use a D cell without problems. The exception is that a real inexpensive device may depend on the increased resistance inside the cell to limit the current AAA. For example, I have a LED flashlight 9 white LEDs that use 3 AAA batteries and no current limiting resistor. If I had to replace 3 D cells, the LEDs are likely to burn.
