Are products like Camelbak BFM motherlode and approved for use with the army accused?

I just wanted to know whether it is worth buying or if I to achieve something similar issued by my unit (I'm not talking about a backpack). If not what are the good alternatives that soldiers can often make also be used in civilian life?
