Need answers on "bright dip" process used to clean aluminum?

There is a process used to clean and polish 6061 called the "bright dip" - the name is a name in the industry. Our suppliers to consider the process itself. Is this process is common with nitric acid, or HCL?? What is common acid or chemical used? How it works Thank you!

Phosphoric acid (65-80% w / w) nitric acid at near boiling temperature.
