"No way!" on my friend Ellen's son Alex said when I mentioned it to him. "How can you live on a cruise ship and paid by it? "

"Yes way," I said, taking my granddaughter's phrase, "you sure can."

Alex was skeptical, but after reading my article about the work on a cruise and the fabulous bennies, (is that how to spell a word for benefits?) I looked at the pictures we took, heard their stories of interesting towns he visited like Skagway and Misty Fjords. Port liked best was Sitka, a Russian fishing village full of work style beautiful art and gold and silver icons of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cathedral.

Alex thanked me again and again to tell him about working on a cruise. His mother thanked me for telling him because not only get paid, but was able to save your money. All living expenses were free while he was on board.
