How do I know if a motorcycle fork is set to take recessed Allen bolts?

I recently had the fork of a road bike time changed since it was damaged, the replacement was just a plain road chromed steel fork. I'm looking to mount a series of long-range Tektro the caliper brakes, but only come with recessed mounting bolts. So before you buy, how do I know the difference between a fork that is drilled to accept recessed Allen nuts versus one that only external hex nuts?
