How do you know when your water is leaking?

I still miss something, but I heard that you can urinate without loss of control. How do I know if it's just my urine bag or a water leak? Does anyone know.

That some leakage of fluid and get something - panties or a mini-pad - wet. Take a hair dryer and drying clothes indoors or PAD. If it is urine that smells of dried urine. If not - then I will not! (Tip midwife!) Some women have a lot of clear discharge near its expiration date. It is very watery and has no smell. The only way to distinguish this from the amniotic fluid is well visualize the cervix and see if the fluid coming out of it, or if fluid near the cervix, or pH test for ferning. This is not something you can do same though. If the leak stops - do not worry. If not continue to leak urine and call your doctor or midwife. Claudine Crews CPM, LM
