What is the best sleeping bag for backpacking in Europe?

What kind of backpack is best for backpackers in hostels throughout Europe, Down, synthetic or hybrid? Is it even need one or a leaf is enough sleep? In September I will travel through England, France, Italy and Greece and temporary workers are around 10-25 degrees. Thanks!

Just bring a sleeping bag if you go to camp. Most backpackers hostels use and most of the shelters have beds all made up with sheets and blankets or duvets and not let you use your sleeping bag. A bed sheet is a good idea, but if you Packing light is true, never mind. I used my resume sleep once in a three-week trip hostel. For your backpack, take as little packaging as you can, you will be walking with your package more than they expect and receive heavy packages.
