Assault is becoming more and more common in our schools today. Fights school yard used to be seen as the right of way or misfortune in general. Today bullies are not tolerated and sometimes even are accused of crimes.
If your child is being threatened at school, then you could file a complaint with school and police. There are two types of assault. Simple assault is defined as a threat of injury without a weapon. An attempt to harm without a weapon can also be considered simple assault.
Aggravated assault is more serious. An attack that intends to cause serious injury is considered aggravated assault if the injury actually occurred or not. An attack with some type of weapon is considered aggravated assault. If your child is threatened with a weapon, or if there is a threat of serious injury, with or without a weapon, aggravated assault can be considered.
Aggravated assault victims are people who actually felt the face of death. This feeling and trauma can come from a threat or an actual assault. Sometimes There is an assault without actual injury, but the victim believes that possibly going to kill.
Support groups are very useful for children going through this trauma. It is for the victim if he or she wants to press charges.
Nearly twenty percent of assaults each year are victims of minors. It is a growing problem greater and is not to be taken lightly. In cases of underage victims, almost always knows who assaulted them. Sometimes they are reluctant to file charges for fear of being assaulted once again, embarrassed or ridiculed by their peers.
